Member Profile: Bobby Batyko

Bobby Batyko, the present social media manager at University Hospitals, graduated from Kent State University in 2014. He promptly engaged as an active member of Public Relation Society of America Cleveland, currently serving as the board's treasurer.
Initially uncertain about his career path during his college tenure, Bobby explored journalism and business at Kent State. However, the allure of combining writing skills with organizational involvement in the public relations realm captivated him, leading to his dedicated pursuit of this field.
Having worked for several notable organizations, Bobby sought to broaden his skill set, eventually joining University Hospitals, where he found immediate affinity with the team he continues to collaborate with today. Reflecting on his work in the healthcare industry, Bobby expressed, “At the end of the day, your day is better if you are able to make someone’s life, even in a small way, slightly better, slightly healthier, and improve their well-being… I found that really fulfilling and I like that mission.” 
His involvement in PRSA has also brought immense fulfillment. Bobby highlighted the opportunity to collaborate with top PR practitioners in the Cleveland area as a significant benefit. Moreover, guiding the upcoming generation of practitioners into the field adds value to his PRSA engagement, as Bobby expressed how he is often reminded of how small the public relations world is.
Beyond work and PRSA contributions, Bobby finds joy in his engagement with the Sports Car Club of America, travel with his wife, and fitness pursuits, notably completing the Cleveland Half Marathon recently. His aspirations include visiting Tokyo and driving his dream car, a Porsche 911 gt3 rs 4.0."
